As the world's population grows, so does the demand for housing.

However, current construction methods are unsustainable and result in large amounts of climate change emissions such as carbon dioxide during construction and during the life span of a building.

While the sustainability of green buildings requires the use of natural resources at a rate that meets our needs as well as those of future generations, to ensure the expansion of construction with environmentally friendly materials, in addition to greening existing buildings.

On this basis, renewable energy and energy efficiency are the best, fastest and cost-effective option for mitigating the effects of climate change, protecting our resources and the path to sustainability in green buildings.

This makes energy efficiency the main objective in the energy plans at the local, regional and global levels, especially in the construction sector because of its ability to achieve the three goals of sustainable development more than any other economic sector.
