Abstract EN

The project of an International Criminal Court was made concrete, after great efforts by the United Nations and a number of countries.

The constraints, which slowed down its development, infected and weakened it during the exercise of its powers defined by Article 5 of the Rome Statute.

This is how the ICC still fails to establish itself today, and the focus on certain countries, particularly African one, has prompted them to withdraw their membership in the Rome Statute.

Based on these data we can predict the regression, or the disappearance of the international criminal court.

Suite aux efforts consentis par l’ONU et un certain nombre de pays, le projet d’une Cour pénale internationale a pu être concrétisé.

Toutefois, ces dernières années, la Cour est affaiblie dans l’exercice de ses principales compétences à cause du nouvel ordre mondial qui s’impose et les divergences quant à son existence.

Il apparaît en conséquence que la Cour se concentre uniquement sur certains Etats ce qui a poussé bon nombre d’Etats à se retirer du statut de Rome.
