Abstract EN

This study aims to explain the extent of the protection guaranteed by the Algerian legislator to the wife against conjugal violence, be it physical, psychological or economic, by adopting a policy of criminalization and punishment.

However, certain factors linked to the social environment prevent the effectiveness of these provisions, it is therefore necessary to think about the means likely to overcome them in order to guarantee the protection required for the wife.

Cette étude vise à expliquer l'étendue de la protection garantie par le législateur algérien à l'épouse face à la violence conjugale, qu'elle soit physique, psychologique ou économique, en adoptant une politique de criminalisation et de punition.

Cependant, certains facteurs liés à l'environnement social empêchent l'efficacité de ces dispositions.

Il est donc judicieux de réfléchir aux moyens susceptibles de les surmonter afin de garantir la protection requise pour l'épouse
