International humanitarian law and its convention and customary branches give a great importance to the issue of restoring ties between families separated by armed conflicts, whether they are international or non-international, through the International Movement of the Red Crescent and Red Cross, which are considered the effective mechanisms in this field, the ICRC is not sufficient for reunification of Families in times of armed conflict only, but even beyond the cases in which international human rights law also applies, namely the cases of internal disturbances and tensions, where it works to: record and send information related to prisoners and detainees, family news exchange, as well as Searching for the missing persons, reunification of families and ensure their right to know the fate of missing persons.

Le droit international humanitaire accorde, via ses branches conventionnelles et coutumières, une grande importance au sujet du rétablissement des liens entre les familles séparées par les conflits armés, internes ou internationaux, grâce aux efforts déployés par le mouvement international du Croissant-Rouge et de la Croix-Rouge (IFCR).

Le rôle du IFCR dans le rétablissement des liens familiaux ne s’arrête pas aux périodes de conflits armés, ledit mouvement s’implique également dans des cas similaires soumis au droit international des droits de l’homme, à savoir les cas de troubles et de tensions internes, il veille à l’enregistrement et l’envoi des informations relatives aux prisonniers et détenus, l’échange des nouvelles familiales, la recherche des personnes disparues, ainsi qu’au regroupement des familles, et leurs assure le droit de connaître le sort des disparus.
