Abstract EN

To learn some aspects of life of the predator Green Lacewing the study was investigate the effect of two different prey (the eggs of the Angoumis grain moth Sitotroga cerealella (Oilvier) and eggs of the Mediterranean flour moth Ephestia sp.

On biological manner as pest of the predator Chrysoperla carnea(Steph.).

This experiment was conducted in the laboratory of Plant Protection - Department of Agriculture and Irrigation in Wadi Hadhramout during the year 2012.

The study was aimed to determine the impact of the effect of food, for growth and development of the predator Green Lacewing Chrysoperla carnea (Steph.) to obtain the suitable conditions for rearing and establishing its in vitro.

Data proved that the use eggs Sitotroga cerealella which provided as food was better than, eggs Ephestia sp on biological aspect of the predator Chrysoperla carnea (Stephen).

Our results indicated that the incubation period of eggs were 3±0.40 and 2±0 days for C.cranea feeding on eggs of S.

cerealella and eggs of Ephestia sp respectively.

The larval period was different by different host, duration of complete larval development period was 8.3±1.0 days on eggs S.

cerealella and 9.5 ±1.0days on eggs moth Ephestia sp.

The pupa period was .6.7±0.6days on eggs S.

cerealella and 9.7 ±2.6days, on eggs of moth Ephestia sp.16.7days the complete from the eggs to adult period on feeding on eggs S.

cerealella and 22.5 days on eggs moth Ephestia sp.

There was different significant between them, while the emergence was 80% and 100% respectively.
