La grand-mère est une figure emblématique dans l'imaginaire maghrébin, l'écrivaine Fadéla M'rabet lui procure une place prestigieuse dans son œuvre Une enfance singulière, est un récit autobiographique, qui retrace les mœurs et les traditions qui sont ancrés dans la mémoire collective des algériens.

La dimension sociale serait la toile de fond, la charpente de l'œuvre que le personnage reflète, celui-ci incarne la singularité culturelle de la société.

Le personnage de la Djedda construit l'identité nationale et le dispositif culturel qui caractérise l'homme dans un contexte colonial.

Nous avons éprouvé la nécessité de mettre en lumière la valeur réelle et mythologique de la grand -mère dans la période coloniale.

Que représente cet héritage ancestral? Quelle représentation propose donc l'effet de ce personnage? Nous tenterons donc de faire une étude de personnage sous l'angle anthropologique.
