In this paper, we are dealing with a vital and highly valued topic for the entire global community, which is distinct in different cultures.

It is "water.

" It is more problematic today than ever, because of the climate and technological change that countries are going through without exception, And since the ancient times it was a subject of concern to all peoples, regardless of availability or scarcity.

Also we discuss the viewpoint of the anthropological and economic approaches to water.

The anthropological approach, It dealt with as carrying a certain symbolism in some ancient cultures and civilizations, Some rituals and practices have been woven around him.

As for the economic approach, it was considered a rare material that has value that should be exploited and managed rationally and in scientific methods.

As Algeria is an integral part of this culture, whether ancient or modern.

What are the religious directives and economic methods and means on which previous and modern societies depended on the management of the water issue? In this field, we tried to focus on Algeria to mention the most important sources of water, the most important areas of its use and methods of preserving it in society.
