Sociology of religion resulted from the dialectic relationship between subjects taught by sociology and religion.

Before the advent of the field of sociology of religion in the first half of the twentieth century, its subjects and literature were scattered in the fields of sociology and religion.

The emergence of the new field of sociology of religion has helped separate religious social subjects from the fields of sociology and religion and has placed them in the new field of sociology of religion to develop, mature, integrate and become capable of interpreting socio-religious phenomena with a purposeful scientific interpretation.
