Abstract EN

This research deals with one of the most important issues of the Fatimid History, which took place during the reign of the most famous Fatimid caliphs in Egypt; Alhakim Bamr- Allah; the personal character that is obscure, the judgment on him and his Age was and still is a subject of controversy among the historians.

The research dealt with the role of Almohtasib (the performer of charity work voluntarily) in the era of this caliph, and talked about the job of Almotasib, his conditions, the procedures accompanying his appointment, the most important terms of reference, and the penalties he applied.

It was taken from the Maliki jurist Imam Abu Ishaq Al-Ghafqi as a model.

I talked about his birth and origin, and his most famous older teachers, and the position of Almohtasib, and how he managed to control the markets, and discipline the Shiites who said bad words about the companions of prophet Mohammed, may Allah be pleased with them, and concluded the research by mentioning the death of this imam.

The study concluded that the real reason behind the choice of the Fatimid Alhakim Bamr- Allah to the Maliki jurist Abu Ishaq Al-Ghafqi to hold the post of Muhtasib is due to his jurisprudence and knowledge, his good reputation and his good biography.

It has succeeded in re-adjusting prices in the markets and reducing the economic gap.

In addition to the desire of the Caliph Alhakim Bamr- Allah to approach the Sunni Egyptians, at a time when the calls appeared in his divinity, which was a threat to the Fatimid caliphate on the religious and the doctrinal side.
