The right to self-determination is a legal right according to which all people have the full right to self-determination, to choose their political, economic and social system, and thus to extend the sovereignty of this people on the area on which they reside without interference foreign.

As for the Palestinian question, it starts from the resolution n° 181 of 1947 of the United Nations, which prescribes the partition, which decided to create two Arab and Jewish states on the land of Palestine and the subsequent decisions, until 1969, the issue was addressed in terms of the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.

The problem of the article revolves around the international legal foundations which enshrine the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.

As for the most important conclusions, it is that the right to self-determination is the right of the people to freedom to determine their political status and their position in the international community.

And that any violation of it is a violation of international peace and security, and that its inclusion in the Charter of the United Nations has become one of the fundamental principles of the international community.
