Abstract EN

This study examines the African Peace and Security Council, and the extent of its contribution to the settlement of African conflicts and disputes.

Actually, Darfur's conflict is considered a hard task and a true test for this council.

Indeed, the different decisions which have been taken in order to settle this conflict have revealed that the African Peace and Security Council is far from being able to realize African dreams and ambitions because of different reasons including the fact that it does not have enough experience to deal with international conflicts, the lack of financial resources, frequent foreign interventions in the African continent and the pressure exerted by the international bodies on board, as well as the lack of authentication of all African countries on the protocol
