In her novel, A Spanish Heart, the novelist Jamila Talbawi intends to summon the missing Arab-Andalusian self, within a compensatory imaginary aiming to restore the balance of the collective memory of a subjugated and shaky nation, which is the Arab self, by introducing different narrative paths that constructed the cultural pattern based on the conflict between two dissonant poles that did not form a rivalry for them.

Any feature of the philosophy of survival, therefore, the novelist made the ego a space of an inventor in which it exercises its power as an investor of meaning to adopt it as it wishes, to leave the reader and the artistic connoisseur to discover its absences a possibility and an impossibility with parallel dramatic threads where the story plays its role, and establishes its desired principles on it.
