Abstract EN

This study aims to measure and analyze the effect of public spending on the unemployment rate in Algeria for the period (1990-2018).

It relied on the error correction model and the shock response functions, the study found that there is a long-term relationship between the unemployment rate and the rest of the variables, a positive shock in the rate of spending and growth will have a negative moral impact on the unemployment rate in the short and long term.

Also, a positive shock in the oil price will have a positive moral impact on the unemployment rate in the short term and a negative impact in the long run
