One of the ways in which modern Qur'anic studies have been influenced is the linguistic method that has recently dealt with the Qur'anic text, and has treated it as a linguistic text like other literary texts.

In this research, we will focus our attention on the linguistic and interpretive reading of the Qur'anic text by the Algerian thinker Mohammed Arkoun, who employed contemporary linguistic syllabuses (linguistics and semiotics) in rereading and interpreting the Qur'anic text.
