Abstract EN

This article examines three poems by the popular poet Ahmed ben Harrath and outlines three tracks in it, all of which are related to the Arab-Islamic intellectual framework.

The idea of the poet has evolved from self-esteem and intensity of attachment to style to fascination with the other and waiting for an opportunity to overcome it, then comes a third stage where the poet is a match for the other This graduation was also achieved in the language of the poet, which merged with the French language little by little.

The article also highlights the harmony of the poet's vision with the political path taken by a group of Algerian elites after the First World War.
