This research has tried to trace the phenomenon of Intertextuality and learn its threads in contemporary critical studies in both western and Algerian parts in order to give the reader a focused idea of this theory and the most important efforts through which the Algerian critic Abdelmalek MORTAD tried to arrive at the issue of Intertextuality and understand its being, and prove that The old Arab criticism defined the concept of Intertextuality through many concepts abound in the books of Arabic rhetoric related to Intertextuality.
