Human rights are one of the major issues of the contemporary World, particularly the right to privacy or the protection of private life.

Due to the quantum leap of information technology and the facilities that it offers, our lives have become more and more accessible to others.

Indeed, information technology has allowed government departments and private companies to collect large amounts of personal data from individuals regarding their, health, education, family, social or work habits, etc.

, and store, process, analyze, restore, compare and transfer them.

However, this can lead to an unauthorized access to these data, misuse them, direct them in a wrong or pervert way or expose the individuals' privacy.

These risks raised and still raise the particular importance of the legal protection, in addition to the technical protection, of privacy.

In fact, the protection of the right to privacy has been the subject of international, regional and national concern which has yielded adequate rules and principles to tackle these risks.

On this basis, this research was entitled "Legal Protection of Information Privacy" is meant to shed more light on the international, regional and national efforts in this regard and their effectiveness address the different forms of information violation of private life.
