This article seeks to explain Rousseau's attitude toward the religious problem, which critics often concidered contradictory, but the truth is just the opposite.

because Rousseau argued that the real reason for the difference between philosophers is mainly due to the distinction between the cognitive human faculties as if they are not existed in one entity.

while that realizing and believing in religious truth depend mainly on the mixing of reason and feeling as two concerted faculties, because that is what the nature of the human being imposes itself.

And Rousseau in this position is a syncretist, not contradictory.
