Nations are ageing, their present and future become a door of memories, and each nation is in between two biographies, either a forgotten biography or a remaining biographyThe biography remains only by preserving its heritage and the survival of something of its history that indicates what was from it in ancient timesThe Arab Nation preserved its heritage, and fortunately the heritage of the Arab Nation remained a part of it, and one of the factors of its preservation is the presence of indexes that are classified and facilitate the access to the details of this heritageManuscript catalogues had a long history between genesis and evolution, and the types of indexes varied according to the intended purpose of each type, the linear groups migrated under many circumstances and dispersed over a vast area of land according to many circumstances.
