Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the negative or positive attitudes of workers towards the use of personal protection equipments at the ALFET company of Tiaret, according to personal factors, from preventiona wareness, training and the design dimension.

The sample of the study included 100 production workers.

To measure the attitudes of workers towards personal protective equipments, the tool of the searcher (Manawi, 2013) which was modified, was used after confirming it spsychometric characteristics.

The questionnaire consists of 44 paragraphs of four dimensions.

An interview wasused to interview both the safety officer, the nurse and the occupational medecin for information and to uncover some basic aspects of the company' sprevention methods.

The results of the study were analyzed by calculating the frequencies, percentages, arithmetic means and standard deviations of each item using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software.

The results concluded that: - There are positive attitudes towards the use of personal protective equipment according to the personal factors of ALFET workers.

-There are no attitudes towards the use of personal protective equipment based on the precautionary aware ness of ALFET workers.

-There are negative attitudes about the use of personal protective equipment according to the training dimension of ALFET workers.

-There are negative attitudes towards the use of personal protective equipment according to the design factors of ALFET workers.
