Abstract EN

The Iraqi society suffers from some psychological and social disorders that threaten human security and affect, directly and indirectly, all its segments.

Since orphan children are part of this society, the researcher conducted this study.

Among these disorders is social phobia (social fear), a disorder that has been spreading increasingly which impedes in infected people from from going about their daily school, professional or social life.

They find it difficult to deal with the social environment around them due to their sickness.

Therefore, the current study (Child Social Phobia and Human Security: A Field Study of Orphans from the Viewpoint of Social Workers in Baghdad) highlights the nature of social phobia among orphan children.

it's being the first study addressed by the department of social work specifically, as well as considering the lack of data on orphans with social phobia in social work institutions.

The current study aims at: Identifying (social phobia)and its limitation to the orphan child, then clarifying it from the social and psychological point of view.

Shedding light on the types of phobias and the most important causes that lead to its occurrence, Identifying the role of the social worker in social work institutions.
