Freedom of information (Freedom of access to information), is the basis of investigative journalism.

The press, which reveals cases of administrative and political corruption, bribes, money laundering and other sensitive issues affecting businessmen, members of the government and heads of state also.

However, many media laws prevent the journalist from obtaining information under the pretext of public order, national security and other prohibitions.

And this study came to compare the articles of the Algerian media law with Jordanian law in terms of the extent of freedom of access to information and the most important obstacles that prevent it, and to show which this laws are adapted to international standards.
