The visual discourse of the caricature from the perspective semioticsWe seek through this scientific study to uncover a set of elements that make the caricature discourse as semiotic discourse, in view of its lines, and its ability to carry a message that can be understood directly or conversely, that try to expose or discuss a phenomena or to direct public opinion against it.

The approach of these technical discourses is a pragmatic approach that forces us to transcend the boundaries of looking at the texts of the speech as mere linguistic connotations and contents, it is a linguistic activity in which the caricature tries to express the purpose and targets of portraying personal and social attitudes.
