The present study aims at poring debate regarding the legal nature of severing diplomatic relations between countries by analyzing its logic and premises.

Severing diplomatic relations has a number of effects on both the international and local level.

It changes the international relations in many ways and affects the political and economic balance in the world.

Notwithstanding its causes and effects, this paper considers diplomatic relations as sudden, sovereign phenomenon that hinders negotiation and menaces mutual relations among countries.

Its predictable results can be seen at the legal level, and then appears as blockage in political, economical and cultural relations.
