Abstract EN

The prenciple of environmental participation is one of the most important pillars that allow citizens to assess the environmental situation and intervene in order to express their opinions, suggestions as well as their objections; transparently on projects, local development programs and public decision-making processes as a procedural mechanism.

That contributes to ensuring the environmental protection in the Algerian legislation.

However, it is ineffective in practice, as it is stated in general form in the Law of 03/10 for the protection of the environment without showing us the necessary procedures and expressions that allow the integration of civil society elite within the national strategy related to the environmental field.

Therefore, we will present in this correspondence the legal measures such as issuing regulatory provisions, in order to implement the Law of 10/03 and also to expand the procedures of public investigation, in addition, to supporting mechanism to facilitate the participation of the environment, such as relying on electronic media as well as the establishment of advisory councils.
