The environmental dumping is considered as one of the harmful practices on foreign trade, and combatting this phenomenon has gained a growing interest in foreign policies, since it's one of the harms hindering the national industries' productive and exporting capabilities, because of its divergent results unspecified for the importing and exporting states' economics.

It results in monopolistic impacts harming competition in foreign trade, since the environmental concerns aren't taken into account while producing goods of international trade such as the exportations of a state to another one producing similar goods.

Then, the privilege of an exporting state will be granted at the expense of the importing one, hence the developed countries try imposing what's known as the countermeasures against the environmental dumping which is harmful for the foreign trade and the developing countries' economics, thus they don't have access to the international markets.

However, the developed countries violate the environment without taking the environmental concerns into account.
