Abstract EN

Most of the world's legislations, which have authorized the implementation of foreign judments on its national territory, agreed on circumscribing the execution to the judgments issued on private international relations.

i.e.

civil and commercial judgments.

however, some of these legislations have ruled out the foreign provisions issued in the articles of civility and civil status of persons from being subject to order of execution, and has acknowledged its effects without the need to add in the exequatur by its national judiciary.

on the contrary, the Algerian legislator did not allow for the registration of these judgments in the civil status records only after it being granted the exequatur.
