Abstract EN

Public spending is an important economic policy that allows the state to achieve its social goals as the raise of the standard of living and well-being.

Algeria makes efforts to transform economic growth to improve the standard of living of the population.

This study aims to clarify the relationship between public spending in the social field and the household consumption during 1990-2018, and by an econometric study, we found that both spending on education and health contributes positively to raising the standard of living of individuals.
