The current research aims to identify the importance of total quality management in higher education institutions, as the current research consisted of five sections, The first topic: It consisted of a problem, importance, goals, limits and terminology, As for the second topic, it consisted of the concept of quality in education, its implementation reasons, advantages, benefits and obstacles to its application.

As for the third topic: It consisted of the experiences of some developed countries in applying total quality management in higher education.

As for the fourth topic, it consists of criteria and models for applying total quality in education.

The fifth topic consisted of conclusions, recommendations and proposals.

Where the researcher followed in his study methodology the descriptive approach.
