The present research paper contains a study and verification of a valuable manuscript entitled Ghinyat ul-Faqīr limā liṭṭayybati Min at-Takbīrby Al-Azhari.
In this manuscript, the author quotes some rules of Qur᾿ānic recitations as mentioned in Aṭ-ṭayybah (A very long poem by Ibn Al-Jazri on rules of reciting the Qur᾿ān).
The rules dealt with in this study are concerned with Takbīr (saying the Arabic phrase 'Allahu Akbar' [Allah is Great]) while reciting the Qur᾿ānic chapters from Sūrat Aḍ-ḍuḩā to the end of the Qur᾿ān.
He also explains rules and inferences concerning the science of Taḩrīrāt (scrutiny and revision of Qur᾿ānic recitation rules).
The significance of this study unfolds through studying the manuscript and scrutinizing it in a scientific way so as to give it the status it deserves.
