Laboratory experiment were carried to study the effect of aqueous extract of shoot system for Sonchus oleraceus L on the rate and speed of germination of the seeds of the okra and Watercress.and hypocotyl and semi root lengths.
Seeds are sown in Petri dishes and treated with aqueous extract of shoot system for Sonchus oleraceus L and concentrations (0,10, 20, 30%).
The results showed no effect on the rate and speed of germination of the seeds , but they ho variation of effect on hypocotyls and semi root lengths, okra surpassed significantly the upon watercourse in hypocotyls and semi root lengths.
