The Russian Federation is a strategic partner for the Islamic Republic of Iran, and supportive of its peaceful nuclear program, also Russia is strategically aligned with the Iranian moves and positions in the course of the Syrian file, and is not concerned about the increase in Iranian political and military influence in Iraq.

Iran becomes more important to the Russian Federation, due to its near geographical location, as Iran has become the southern neighbor that should be controlled to protect Russian national security, because the distinguished geographical location from the geopolitical and strategic point of view made Iran a place for conflict and demand by the major powers to establish and improve relations with it.

My research included an introduction and five axes, which addressed in the first axis the importance of Iran in Russian strategic awareness, and in the second axis the nature of Iranian awareness of Russia as an effective force, and I touched on the third axis to the nature of Russian strategic performance towards the Iranian nuclear file, continued in the fourth axis to the Iranian role after The Russian military intervention in Syria, and in the fifth axis, it dealt with the future of Iran's position in the Russian strategy, and then the conclusion of the research.
