Abstract EN

Algeria's adoption of a new growth meodel in 2016 aimed at eliminating the dependence of the national economy on the hydrocarbons sector and increasing economic diversification, has increased the importance of studying changes in the economy outside hydrocarbons, this study aimed to measure the change in the productivity of the Algerian economy outside hydrocarbons using the Malmquist Index, which measures the total productivity change by dividing it into the factors of chang in efficiency and technological change.

The results showed weak overall productivity, both in the spatial comparison, which was between the main economic sectors or in the time comparison, wich was between the years of study, which lasted from 2010 to 2017, as well as the technical index showed the weakness of the use of the modern technology in production processes.
