Abstract EN

The purpose of this paper is to understand the historical circumstances that have affected the emergence of the national state in the Arab world.

This historical approach will strongly contribute to more understanding of the political transformations experienced by the Arab countries during the transitional period under the authority of occupation.

As it was shown in this paper, it is obvious that the modern national state has ended the pattern of historical Islamic governance that transcends borders and nationalities.

This paper also seeks to highlight the importance of the external constraints that accompanied the process of transformation under the pressure of the military occupation, and the various policies adopted to fragment the Arab world.
