Abstract EN

This research aims to study the reality of Algerian foreign trade and the development of the Algerian trade balance during the period (2000-2018), using the analytical approach in studying and analyzing the development of the volume of total exports and imports.

And its distribution.

It has also been studied the most important exported goods as well as imported goods for Algeria.

And the direction of trade and the most important trading partners for Algeria.

It was concluded that the Algerian trade balance is based mainly on hydrocarbon exports.

Which is heavily influenced by external economic variables.

This is one of the main challenges facing Algeria's foreign trade, as well as weak exports outside the hydrocarbon sector.
