Although many contemporary Islamic-movements were marked by extremism, but it rooting remained present throughout the Arab countries.

It is noticeable that, the incorporation of these movements in the democratization process was previously a far off option for Arab regimes, although the debate about "political-Islam" constituted one of the most prominent topic related to the reform in the area.

The West has predicted that, the Islamists could come to power, and nevertheless tolerated with in order to emptied the emotional load that enabled them to hold people, through putting them on the test, as what happened with the Islamists in Palestine, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco.

Thus, these movements have faced the legacy of previous governments.

This is how the West engineered to interfere in controlling the path of democratization in the region, by containing the movements of political-Islam, which is something that the ruling Arab regimes have failed to do.
