The research deals with the exacerbation of Hate speech at the time of coronavirus and its media treatment.

The problem was about the role played by the United Nations in curbing the escalation of hate speech.

The content of the articles published about the topic on UN official website during the years 2019 and 2020 was analyzed.

The results showed that the organization's treatment lacks depth and diversity in the angles addressed.

Published news constitutes adequate coverage of the UN's activities parallel to the events within the files related to the topic.

The interviewees were restricted to its representatives.

Thus, the web site appears as a mirror that reflects the activities of the organization, not as a space to address all incidents related to hatred and discrimination that are taking place in the world.

The author recommended intensifying qualitative studies on hate speech to help reduce its negative effects.
