The significance of this study is illustrated by shedding light on woman's image and problems in El-Khoury poetic experience and the historical period he lived in.

he is one of the most famous poets considered as representing poem transition in the late 1800's and the beginning of the 20's century; specifically the first half of 20's century witnessing many revolutions on all forms of colony.

As a result, he is between the middle zone among model classic poets led by Ahmed Shawqi and the romance current poets represented by Apollo Group, as we see this poet as having a dual culture reflecting a sensitivity toward classic in its all notions and romance in the modern age.

For the above reasons, the problem of the study emerges as 1800's century romantic poets in modern poem are intuitive classics.

It's the fine line that makes us look at the appreciation level of Shawqi classic in his opposition and Abdel Rahman Shokry romance in his love poetry for those who are able to evaluate literature in poetry are by routing and integration.

We find that "Al-Akhtal Al-Saghear" wrote enlightenment, narrative and incremental poetry close to "Mwashahat" with all their fluctuations without using his sense of showing a disposition to romance while clarifying his self within a total frame.

For these reasons, the woman's image in El-Khoury poetry cannot be separated from his reflective engagement in nation's problems as he was not biased to pure romance in forming woman's image despite his influence by the romance current in the French culture as he spoke this language, wrote literature works in it, and translated it.

He did not abandon the rule of the traditional poet revealing a deep balance between love and public circumstances domination which contributed to a great extent in showing his patriotism by woman's image.
