Abstract EN

This study aims at shedding light on the concept of “citizenship” in democratic countries, as well as the way it functions within a society, thus seek to know, to what extent it is applied in Algeria, and how it was violated, which was the reason for the emergence of the popular movement and its demand to restore political rights.

First, by dethroning the current regime, not to mention also the significant contribution of the media intransferring legitimate demands from the beginning of the popular movement until it reached its maturity.

From the stage of blackout to the stage of the true picture of what is happening in the ground, with reference to any given responsibility expected by the media in the process of accompanying the popular movement.
