Summary: This article attempts to discuss the reading of Islamic religious heritage in the modern era by spesialized researchers.

We chose the Al-Azhar School as a model of these modern readings because it is consedered as the leader institution in this field, which relied on the purging of the Islamic heritage from the Israelites ( Isra'iliyyat) – the israilite narratives in books of interpretation and jurisprudence -In fact, we spot the light on Al-Azhar's role in the refutation of the doubtful opinions against the sources of Islamic legislation raised by advanced and modern studies, also to appear the rearches and the methodologies used and the extent of the fruits of this remarkable work.
