SummaryThis study explores the seriousness of the adoption of expatriate terms making the term "authority" a sample of study and analysis.

It turns out that the term power contradicts the nature of governance in Islam and its goals.

It has also been proven that advanced Muslim jurists have never used the term "power" but that of "the state" which reflects the purposes and provisions of Islamic law.

The study identified the reasons for the renunciation of the term "state" in "authority" indicating that this transformation occurred because of the change of nature of governance in the political history of Muslims, This decline has been realized in modern times because of the intellectual invasion.
