Abstract EN

In this study, we tried to determine whether the property & liability insurance companies in Algeria comply with the solvency requirements issued by the Algerian legislator during 2014-2018.

This study was made on all 12 insurance companies operating in the Algerian insurance market.

To analyse the data of this study we used the EXCEL program.

We have concluded that all these companies comply with the minimum solvency margin requirements, whether on the basis of technical provisions or on the basis of premiums, while some of these companies did not comply in some years of this study with the minimum to cover their regulatory obligations with acceptable assets equivalent to their value or with the minimum to cover these obligations with state values.
