Abstract EN

The objective of this study is to do a review and evaluate of the efforts of the Orientalists in reading the Arab heritage, especially the history of Arab literature.

This is done by searching philosophical origins for the Orientalists practices.

Then, discover what was method by the Orientalism curriculum in these books, especially the political epoquisation and adopt the general history of mental life.

The study started from a hypothesis, that the Orientalism effort was in the field of literary history, it was in line with Western intellectual concepts of Western centralism.

The study found that the interest of Orientalism in the history of Arab literature was to practice the command in the form of the methodology on which it is.

So the result will be to control Arab taste, by the creation of the model and the ideal most appropriate for reading the Arab literary heritage, in accordance with the intellectual and cognitive aspects of Orientalism.

The study adopted the analytical historical approach, it revealed several results.

It concluded that the project's aspects of Orientalism should be considered continuously and study, the impact of his project on the issue of the literary research methodology on particulary.
