The phenomenon of the hidden economy represent a threat to the economies of countries as some estimates indicate that its size in the economies of developing countries constitutes a high percentage of its gross national product, which means that a large proportion of its economic activities are operated at a level below the full level of emplotment, and at a high cost, which is what it limits the utilization of the resources and energies available to the establishments operating within this sector, as most of them are characterized by low productivity rates and quality production, and thus the survival of these establishment outside the legal framework is an impediment to their growth and increasing their marketing capacity The phenomenon of hidden economy is a complex phenomenon that is not subject to statistical measurement, but estimates can be reached for it through various methods, while there are activities that are criminalized and punished by the law.
