the subject of the independence of the Central Bank of themes that are of great importance in economic studies especially banking and finance to the importance of the role of the Central Bank in the economic stabilization process, where supporters of the view that the independence of central banks, that if the Bank An independent Central and far from political pressures from either the Government or the Parliament, the Central Bank's monetary policy in this case will lead to lower inflation rates and stabilize price levels and therefore, most central banks have focused on a few decades.

This focus was the cause of the rule of the idea of ' inflation targeting ' as the preferred framework for monetary policy.

This study aims to showing the great role played by the independence of the central banks in the formulation of an effective monetary policy that targets certain levels of inflation and stabilizes prices as a final objective.

In order to achieve this objective, We used the deductive approach by its tools: description and analysis by discussing the following points: the conceptual framework of the independence of central banks, The independence of Algeria's Bank through the Monetary and Loan Law and the amendments thereto, to drop the conditions of targeting inflation on the Algerian economy.

The study concluded that the independence of Algeria's Bank is one of the conditions for activating the inflation targeting policy in the presence of an appropriate environment that responds to the practical reality.
