Abstract EN

This research paper dealt with an aspect of the Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars in terms of work and political activity and its view of it, especially its interaction with the political scene that was among the most important causes and conditions of reality at the time, which was imposed on it, which led it to not avoid the various political issues that Algeria and others witnessed From the Arab countries during the colonial period from the beginning of its emergence (1931) until its involvement in the liberation revolution (1956).

Therefore, this study aimed to search in a problem centered on what the policy is and its implications for the Assembly of Scientists and its significance, by tracing the principles and principles of the Association of Scientists in political interaction and its vision of politics and political activity (1931 - 1956).

After the researcher followed the historical and analytical approach, this research concluded that, regardless of the fact that the Association of Scholars and its purely religious, social and cultural work, and because it did not want to retire in a limited practical framework according to its basic law, it also carried out political activity regardless of pure political action, as it was The Association of Scientists does not see it as an alternative to standing far from the realities of the lived reality at the time when the political scenes were different, whether from the French colonial party or the Algerian national movement, as it was looking at it being an association over all the parties and bodies of the national movement, as a mediating broker A solution to the reunification of the Algerian nation, within the framework of the participatory work, rejecting - by this - the policy of colonial domination.
