Abstract EN

Hearing-impaired individuals and cochlear implants need specialized psychological counseling that enables them learning ways to communicate and interact with others, and to reduce the negative effects that accompany their disorder, in order to develop their capabilities, their academic and their social skills, to various life skills in general.

To reach the provision of appropriate counseling services for them, the counselor should know their indicative needs, and then identify appropriate techniques for the indicative intervention, including finding the indicative methods required to guide them and immunize them from the negative effects of the disorder that accompanies them; these are the wholeness of the indicative intervention procedures that should the counselor follow in order to fulfill the growth demands of hearing-impaired individuals and cochlear implants.
