Abstract EN

Cognitive styles represent a contemporary trend that is gaining increasing attention by most business organizations.

Therefore, the aim of the research is to know the cognitive styles and test their effect in enhancing the efficiency of strategic decision by employing these styles in selected private banks.

To achieve the objective of the research, a purposive sample of(64) managers and (99) employees in three private banks are (Middle East Iraqi Investment, Assyria International, Kurdistan Islamic International Investment).

The researcher adopted two types of questionnaire: the first distributed to the staff to determine the cognitive styles available in their banks, while the second questionnaire: Spread over the administrative clinics to determine the efficiency of the strategic decisions taken, has been the adoption of the program (Smart pls, 3)for data analysis.

The research reached a number of conclusions: The most important of which are: the availability of some cognitive styles in the researched banks, some cognitive styles affect the efficiency of strategic decision at the level of the researched banks.

Was the most influential analytical style among the prevailing cognitive styles, as well as the disparity of the researched banks in the use of cognitive styles.
