Abstract EN

The present study aims at uncovering the intellectual layouts and the logical genesis on which the author and thinker Abdallah el Araoui has built his method in rooting for his modernist project, starting from the induction of numerous models of his own intellectual and historical production, in particular his books that formed the intrinsic core of his methodological perspective vis-à-vis the processing the status of historical lateness that befell the Arab and Islamic World for centuries on all levels.

The problematic of the current study ponders several legitimate questions; where does El Araoui stands regarding the Arabic and Islamic Heritage? Can we relinquish the idea of investment in the Arabic and Islamic Heritage to root for a foreign and incompatible modernity on the Arabic Societal identity? What are the main critical defects that faced the modernist project of El Araoui?
