This research paper aims to introduce the treatise whose title is introduced in the manuscript under the title of The Book of the definitions of Fundamentals of Jurisprudence", authored by Imam Saaduddin Masoud ibn Omar ibn Abdullah Al-Taftazani (died in 793 AH).

The subject of this treatise investigates the limits and definitions of the fundamentals of jurisprudence.

It is concerned with the field of fundamental definitions and terms that require brevity and economy.

The importance of this treatise lies in the fact that al-ḥadd definition is one of the most important aspects related to all sciences and disciplines, especially the books of logic and argumentation, which delimit its types and conditions.

This treatise is also distinguished by its scholarly value, since its subject falls into many sections of the fundamentals of jurisprudence that are scattered in various scholars' writings.
